Statistics show that when you work out with a group of your peers, you are more likely to stick with the program longer than if you only exercised alone. Exercising at your work site is convenient, cost effective, and fun. There is a type of exercise class for everyone, and any state employee may participate in these classes.
Find an instructor in your area that offers the type of class you prefer. Then follow the guide under Onsite Fitness Classes to start a program where you work. A directory of classes for the James Monroe Building are found here. If you have a suggestion for a new class, write Wellness@dhrm.virginia.gov
